Victoria teaches monthly virtual classes on a variety of perinatal health and reproductive justice-related topics. These educational sessions often pertain to fertility support, chronic reproductive disorders, childbirth education, lactation education, perinatal mental health, pregnancy & infant loss, abortion education, sexual health & contraception education, and more.

At this time, I am currently extensively traveling, working on university research and papers, completing a doula certification teaching contract, and expanding relationships with national organizations into South Georgia, so the monthly classes are on pause until October 2026.

I am, however, continuing to offer monthly virtual and in-person classes on self-managed abortion as the statewide trainer for SASS. Those classes are also always free and currently available.

Below is the full list of 10 classes that will be hosted individually on a monthly basis.

Spiral Birth’s Reproductive Health & Justice Educational Series (Return in October 2026)

  • Holistic Period Care (January)

    In this 4-hour class, we are talking all about Period Care. We will touch on the history of period health, the different phases of the menstrual cycle, common period imbalances, chronic reproductive health disorders, plant medicine, self-care, and reproductive equity & justice in the realm of period care.

  • Fertility Care (February)

    In this 4-hour class, we will discuss the various forms of common infertility experiences, IVF and IUI, nutrition, lifestyle changes, chronic reproductive disorders that often contribute to infertility, and more.

  • Herbalism in Reproductive Wellness (March)

    In this 4-hour class, we are discussing reproductive herbalism for fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, lactation, and pelvic steaming. Participants will explore the history of Western herbalism, common herbal preparations, and the importance of understanding contraindications, medication interactions, reproductive stage, and individual health history. Pelvic steaming will be discussed through a safety-centered lens, including timing, appropriate use, contraindications, and the difference between intentional facilitation and generic herbal blending. This class is for educational purposes only and does not provide medical advice or individualized care plans.

    Suggestion: It is advised that you register for the Holistic Period Care class prior to attending this event, but it is not mandatory.

  • Spiral Childbirth Education (April)

    In this 8-hour class, we will discuss the various elements of childbirth education. The agenda is inclusive of the following:

  • Perinatal Grief and Mental Health (May)

    In this 4-hour class, we are discussing perinatal grief, inclusive of fertility, perinatal loss, and birth traumas. We will cover the different types of miscarriages, stillbirths, and infant loss. We will also cover the unique grief of perinatal loss, perinatal mental health, and ways to support parents during this time. We will conclude by discussing memorials and resources that may be relevant during this time.

  • Community Birthwork (June)

    In this 8-hour class, we will discuss community elements in Perinatal Health. The agenda is inclusive of the following:

    1. Intimate Partner Violence

    2. Sexual Assault and Rape

    3. Substance Addiction and Harm Reduction during the Perinatal period

    4. Birthwork support for the Incarcerated

    5. Birthwork support for the Unhoused

    6. Birthwork in Rural Communities

    7. Birthwork for Marginalized Racial and Ethnic Identities

    8. Birthwork for the LGBTQ+ Communities

    9. Birthwork for Disabled & Neurodivergent Communities

    10. Special Topics in Reproductive Justice & Resources

  • Postpartum Health and Lactation Education (July)

    In this 4-hour class, we will discuss postpartum planning, perinatal grief and mental health, lactation and newborn care, and family dynamics support.

  • Pregnancy & Infant Loss (October)

    In this 4-hour session, we will discuss the different types of miscarriages, abortions, stillbirths/stillborn, child deaths. We will also discuss perinatal grief and mental health, perinatal crisis response, recovery, and resources.

  • Perinatal Crisis Response (November)

    In this 4-hour class, we will explore crisis points within the perinatal world. Partcipants will learn how to recognize perinatal crisis patterns, understand the role of support systems and care teams, and identify safer, more informed ways to care for one’s self as well as to respond when pregnant or postpartum people are experiencing distress, instability, or system involvement.

  • Pregnancy Criminalization (December)

    In this 4-hour class, we will discuss how pregnancy can become criminalized through laws, policies, medical reporting, child welfare systems, incarceration, substance use surveillance, abortion restrictions. and broader reproductive control. Participants will learn about the historical and present-day patterns of pregnancy criminalization, how these systems impact pregnant and postpartum people, and why reproductive justice, legal awareness, and community-based support are essential to protecting bodily autonomy and family integrity.
